Tahila Group consults on a range of issues across a spectrum of industries with clients that are primarily government, or semi-government bodies, and commercial property developers and businesses. For confidetial reasons some projects in development are not listed and private client projects are largely excluded. Tahila Group is currently working on a number of film and TV projects for local and international production with varied clients and on its own behalf.

Projects 2009 - 2011

Public Rental Board (Fiji).

Stage 1. - Completion of a Full Feasability and Business Plan for the proposed Sustainable Housing Expo - South Pacific including operational plans, budgets and management structure.

Stage 2. - Subsequently contracted by the Board to execute the plan - current status is on hold waiting cabinet and government support. Management of the PRB are working to get all necessary approvals.

R.S. Deol (Vancouver) for 0763935 BC Limited (Canada)

A feasability plan and site survey of 60+ acre beach front on the Coral coast near Momi Bay to review suitability for resort development and other options.

 

Construction Niugini Limited (PNG)

A comprehensice business plan for a new luxury hotel and hotel residential apartments in Port Morseby (PNG) including design breif and tax and financial analysis. The work involves naming, banding and provision of a detailed market analysis and marketing plan. Tahila will provide a managment and operations plan for the hotel and has been contracted to assit in financing construction.

National Trust of Fiji with the Global Green Fund.

A original Board game concept designed by Tahila principal, Mandy Kennington has been funded for further development by the Global Green Fund through the National Trust of Fiji.


Nausori Town Council
In June 2010 Tahila Group delivered a Pre-Feasibil-ity Study for a Nausori Town Market Place comprising relocation and enhancement of the existing produce market, and development of a public transport inter-change. The Study is currently under review.

David Fox Ass (NYC) (JV with Tahila Group)
Kulawai Gated Residential Estate, a 5.5 acre rainforest subdivision in Colo-i-Suva, features large green field lots, residential real estate, and house and land pack-ages featuring house designs by acclaimed architect Max Pritchard. Stage 1 of a three stage development is in its final development phase, and Stage 2, Max Pritch-ard’s iconic 9-storey luxury apartment complex, Veikau Tower, will release to market in 2011. Stage 3, Kulawai Terraced Apartments is scheduled to release in 2012. Tahila Group is project managing the joint venture de-velopment, and is undertaking the project’s creative development, corporate branding, and sales and mar-keting collateral.

Department of Tourism
In December 2009 Tahila Group was awarded the con-sultancy to Redesign and Remodel the Department of Tourism’s Ecotourism Program. An extensive review of Fiji’s Ecotourism projects, initiatives, strategies, and stakeholder participation was undertaken in the con-text of global trends, resulting in the delivery to gov-ernment of a 4 Volume Report and five year Strategic Plan for the further development of Ecotourism in Fiji. Liaison with the Department is on going.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Relations and Civil Aviation
The consultancy to undertake a Feasibility Study for the development of an airport on Matuku Island in the Yasayasamoala Group has been awarded to Tahi-la Group by the Major Tenders Board. Timelines have been disrupted owing to damage caused to the Island in March 2010 by Cyclone Tomas.

Executive Development Properties Ltd
Tahila Group has consulted on The Haven project since 2007. Tahila Group was appointed lead project manag-ers and master planners following completion by the Group of three draft master plans supported by a site and destination Feasibility Study. Consulting work un-dertaken for the project to date includes securing ap-provals for a development plan based on best practice environmental protocols for a 19 acre ‘mixed use’ devel-opment in the heart of Nausori Town, Viti Levu. Tahila Group’s consultancy brief also extended to managing two international architectural design competitions, management of an international tender/EOI process to secure a hotel operator (resulting in signing with the International Hotel Group) and the subsequent prepa-ration of short and long form contractual agreements. Tahila Group has also undertaken graphic design and production work for the client that includes produc-ing a project information memorandum, and sales and marketing collateral for inventory. The project has to date gained all required major planning and zoning approvals including approval as a tourism project by FIRCA.

Public Rental Board (PRB)
In 2008/09 Tahila Group completed a Feasibility Study for the PRB which included a residential and retail sur vey, traffic and environmental studies and design archi tecture for a major mixed use development for PRB’s Grantham Road, Suva site. The work was undertaken in consultation and collaboration with Max Pritchard Architect and SCoPE. Consultation and liaison with PRB management, board and at ministerial level is on going.

Public Rental Board (PRB)
A Site Scoping Study for PRB’s sites in Raiwai and Rai waqa in Suva was undertaken by Tahila Group. The final Report made extensive recommendations specif ic to each site. The Study was undertaken in consulta tion with Max Pritchard Architect and SCoPE.

Kelton Investments Ltd
Tahila Group undertook a series of briefs for a hotel site in Nadi Bay, Viti Levu. Work commissioned included re-search into destination tourism, branding and signa-ture concepts and the delivery of a project marketing strategy. The Group also reviewed key building and layout design elements for the client and generated preliminary hotel operating budgets, forward income and sales projections, draft contracts for off-plan strata development sales, hotel FF&E options and estimates, and draft construction budgets. Early in 2010 the project proceeded to outline approval stage.


Projects 2006 - 2008
Spruce Ltd

During 2006 Tahila Group undertook due diligence and a review of trading for budget accommodation re sort Raintree Lodge, Colo i Suva, and developed a full strategic Business Plan and Rebranding and Marketing Strategy for the business. --

Arts Village Ltd
In 2006 Tahila Group reviewed the operations of Arts Village, Pacific Harbour that included revising master plans, a review of land titles for subdivision, and design a strata plan for a series of new developments. A full Business Plan and draft marketing collateral for tthese initiatives was produced by the Group.

Kai Viti Divers
Engaged to master plan a resort development on the client’s site located at Voli Voli Point, Viti Levu, Tahila Group reviewed and revised master plans and land ti tles for subdivision, and designed a strata plan for fu ture developments that included a marina.
